Hi, I’m Ruth!
They say that art tells a story. If mine tells a story I think my message is that I want to add color and brightness to everyone's life. I create to express myself, to bring fun and color into the world. Creating isn’t just something I do… it’s who I am.
Using acrylics, collage, watercolors, and inks I let the artwork guide me. Many of my abstract works will attest to this. I love adding texture which I believe adds interest to the piece.
My hope is that it will put a smile on someone's face and make their day a bit lighter. Maybe they will even want to take one of my pieces home. We all need smiles and love in our lives and art can be one way to accomplish that.
* I have a studio (My Happy Place) in which I offer classes and workshops and some online as well.
* My space is also available for private art parties upon request/reservation.
